Static Discos is proud to release Vampire Slayer's new EP, Silence Wave, as a Free Download. Vampire Slayer is Valentín Torres, also member of Maniquí Lazer, Letters From Readers and La Indian Gold Orchestra. Valentín Torres, now living in Los Angeles, is one of Mexicali's most active vanguard punk, rock and electronica musicians since the early 2000's. Delivering a more upbeat release for Static Discos, Silence Wave adheres to the drone and ambient aesthetic of Vampire Slayer's previous releases on his own Indian Gold label but filtered for the dancefloor. According to Valentín Torres, "Silence Wave is my techno version of what I started on Psychic Hex".

An overall feeling of sensual rawness permeates the four tracks of Silence Wave, which Valentín Torres describes as "a dark and sexy midnight soundtrack for someone going insane".
